HIM Consulting Manager
We are seeking a talented individual for a great opportunity as a HIM Consulting Manager.  This position may travel up to 70% of the time throughout the country, thus he/she may live anywhere in the U.S.
 
The qualified candidate will be responsible for providing client support, interim management, and project specific tasks within hospitals and other healthcare facilities throughout the US. The candidate will provide clients with hands on coding validation services for inpatient and outpatient claims as well as support the MIC and RAC audits. This candidate will also review policies and procedures as they relate to coding and billing protocols to assume compliance with regulatory and governmental requirements.
 

The position requires at least 5 years of HIM job related experience as well as 5 years of supervisory experience;  must have either a RHIA or RHIT certification; CCS, CCS-P and CPC are highly preferred, proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Outlook, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint); and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Healthcare coding validation consulting and auditing skills are also a must.

Medicare Billing & Follow-up Representatives
 
Role: You will be responsible for accurate, timely and compliant billing and follow-up of Medicare accounts on behalf of IMA Consulting's clients. You will also ensure proper submission and adjudication on all claims submitted to third party carriers/intermediaries.
 
Our ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent.  As well as, a minimum of four (4) years in patient accounting/business office environment, specifically Medicare billing and/or collections. You must be able to communicate clearly and professionally and have excellent interpersonal, verbal communication skills. Experience with computers, adding maching and normal office equipment (telephone, fax, copier, voice mail, etc.) is a must.

Medical Coder

If you are a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or a CSS with at least two years experience in coding of ICD-9 from patients medical records in the Hospital outpatient setting, we want to hear from you.

Senior Consulting Manager – Compliance and Coding:
The Coding and Compliance Senior Consulting Manager will provide regulatory compliance coding services to health care providers including but not limited to: hospitals, health systems and physician groups. Previous consulting experience is preferred. Ideal candidates will possess: 5+ years of hospital and physician billing, coding, and documentation experience; compliance auditing; clinical documentation auditing; and coding experience. CPC, CPC-H, CCS-P, CPAT certifications preferred. RN also preferred. Familiarity with RAC is a plus. Excellent verbal, presentation and business writing skills, internet and research skills, ability to drive new business opportunities are all a plus, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects. Approximately 20% travel anticipated.

Revenue Cycle Consultant:
Key responsibilities include providing healthcare revenue cycle consulting services and/ or interim management for IMA Consulting clients. Candidates will be responsible for the following revenue cycle activities:

  • Conducting assessments of revenue cycle operations to meet the needs of IMA Consulting customers;
    • Conducting interviews and reviewing reports and data;
    • Identifying opportunities for improvement in the areas of process, staffing, and/or technology;
    • Developing recommendations for areas of opportunity;
    • Documenting assessment results.
  • Functioning as the project manager or member of a Revenue Cycle Team;
  • Writing reports;
  • Implementing process redesign and improvement initiatives;
  • Providing implementation assistance and monitoring results of implemented changes;
  • Assisting in vendor selection, monitoring and management;
  • Conducting Third Party Payer and other chart/billing audits;
  • Providing systems enhancement and installation support;
  • Assisting with education and training; and,
  • Providing interim management.

This position minimally requires a bachelor's degree and eight years operational experience. It also requires demonstrated interpersonal, communication, leadership, customer service, and organizational skill sets. Must be able to travel; may live anywhere in the United States.

Perioperative Services Consultant:
Role: Provide consulting services and / or interim management in Perioperative Services (Surgical Services and Operating Room), with a focus on improving functional processes that produce improved outcomes. Provide leadership for change, either as part of an IMA Consulting Operations Improvement team or as a consultant engaged by the client. May assume daily operational responsibility, set operational priorities, and provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to nurse directors, managers, and staff.

Requirements: The candidate must have a current and valid RN licensure with the ability to apply for licensure in multiple states, as well as relevant management experience as a Director of Perioperative Services or Manager of the OR. The candidate must have demonstrated experience in working closely with surgeons and anesthesiologists, with a track record of enlisting their support to enhance the overall functioning of Perioperative Services.

The candidate must have the ability to analyze data, use comparative data, identify successful practices, define workflows, identify process improvements, and lead change initiatives. Project management and consulting experience a plus. The position requires a Baccalaureate in Nursing, with a Master degree in Nursing preferred. A Master degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Health Care Management, and Finance will be considered. Ten-to-fifteen years of hospital operations experience, with working familiarity of clinical functions, required. Demonstrated strength in organizational development, performance management, and operational process improvement is required.

The candidate must have demonstrated experience in working closely with hospital administrators, physicians, department administrators, and payers, with a track record of enlisting their support to enhance the overall functioning of Care Management. The position requires thorough understanding of admissions review, utilization review, clinical and resource management, discharge planning, quality management, case management, social services, physician advisement, disease management, and denials and appeals management. Knowledge of CMS and other regulatory requirements, length of stay, patient throughput, care management models, push-pull systems, and relevant key performance indicators (KPIs), benchmarks, and targets required.
